About George Plant

George PlantGeorge Plant's photographic work results in remarkable images of people of any age, living their lives, at work or play and of the world around them.

Beginning as a ten year old with his first camera in the riverside village of Allenford where he grew up, he has captured images of people in their every day activities and their special moments.  As a professional photographer, George continues what he enjoyed as a child.

George's formal training in film-based photographic techniques and all aspects of digital imaging is from The Corcoran College of Art & Design in Washington, DC and from The Santa Fe Workshops in Santa Fe, NM.

George has also benefited greatly from one on one applied training and mentoring from national award- winning photojournalists, and from internationally recognized fine art photographers and digital imaging experts.

As well as making studio and environmental portraits, George produces photo stories for publication in newspapers and magazines.  He is a member of the National Press Photographers Association and National Association of Photoshop Professionals.  He is also a member of the San Vicente Artists Group of Silver City, NM and the Shoreline Artists Group in Southampton, ON.  His fine art prints also are available at the Southampton Art School & Gallery.
